What does accessible PDF work cost?
DokAudit charges by pages: 1 credit = 5 pages, with or without AI. Checking, all automatic repairs and any number of re-checks are included – with no surcharges and no user licences.

Worked example: a municipality with 2,200 pages
A public administration wants to make its existing stock of 2,200 PDF pages accessible retrospectively – without Word source files, including forms and scans. What does that cost as a one-off, everything included?

The cost calculator on our German pricing page lets you set two values – total pages (100 to 5,000) and the average number of pages per PDF (2 to 120) – and compares DokAudit, the Accessful price list and an external agency side by side. It starts with the example above: 2,200 pages, 20 pages per PDF.
The calculation behind it is simple:
- DokAudit: number of documents × pages per document rounded up to the next 5, divided by 5 = credits. Each credit costs €2.50 in the public sector plan; for larger volumes we make an offer with volume discounts. AI is included in the price.
- Accessful (public price list): the smallest package that covers your pages – Start (780 pages, €1,950), Professional (2,200 pages, €4,950) or Scale (4,950 pages, €9,900), paid in advance; above that, Scale extrapolated, Enterprise on request.
- External agency: public price lists from approx. €2 per page.
Model calculation, not like-for-like: the offers differ in scope (for example a service with manual rework versus automatic repair). Information on other providers is taken from their publicly available manufacturer pages, as of 28 September 2026, errors excepted; sources and further providers in the comparison overview. How billing works
- 1 credit = 5 pages: Rounded up to 5 pages per document, minimum 1 credit. Checking, all automatic repairs and any number of re-checks are included. A 12-page document uses 3 credits.
- AI included: Structure recognition and alt text carry no surcharge: the price is the same with and without AI.
- Free of charge: Downloads, reports, re-checks, merging and splitting, compressing.
- No seats: Unlimited user accounts. Credits are valid for 12 months from your last order; every order, including the monthly plan top-up, extends your entire balance to 12 months again.

- Each document is rounded up to the next 5 pages, minimum 1 credit. A 12-page document uses 3 credits.

- Is there a data processing agreement?
- Yes, a GDPR data processing agreement is available; documents are deleted after 7 days.
