The situation
Utilities and transport operators publish many documents with changing prices and timetables. They are often generated automatically and look different every time.
Accessibility means two things here: your own website and the documents that customers find on it.
Typical documents
On request, we design annual and sustainability reports in full: as an accessible PDF and as an eMagazine, in your existing corporate design. Annual reports and eMagazine
- Tariff and price sheets
- Timetables and network maps
- General terms and conditions
- Customer information and invoice inserts
- Annual and sustainability reports
- Tender documents
How DokAudit helps
- Existing documents and new production: Find and check existing PDFs with a website scan; correct new documents automatically on an ongoing basis in the hub or via the API.
- Evidence for every document: A test report with a traffic-light rating, findings in plain language and references to PDF/UA and WCAG, as a PDF for your records.
- PDF/UA identifier only after a passed check: Remediation continues until the veraPDF check passes. Only then is the PDF/UA identifier set.
- Public prices: 1 credit = 5 pages, no surcharges, no user licence. From €0.50 net per page, free pilot with 20 credits.
- Data protection: Hosting in Germany, deletion after 7 days, data processing agreement online. On request as a container in your own data centre.
Example: an annually updated set of 1,000 pages of tariff and customer information needs 200 credits, so at €2.50 per credit €500 net.
What the rules require
For municipal companies, it depends on the legal form and the individual case: some count as public sector bodies (Directive (EU) 2016/2102), for others the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, Germany’s implementation of the European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882) may be relevant, which has applied since 28 June 2025 to certain consumer services offered digitally.

Frequently asked questions
- Can automatically generated documents be integrated?
- Yes, via the REST API. Your system submits the finished PDF and a webhook reports the result.
- What happens with recurring templates?
- Each document is checked individually. The reports show whether the template itself has weaknesses that you can fix there.
- Are there discounts for large volumes?
- Yes, on request as an individual quote.
