The situation
Energy suppliers continuously publish price sheets, terms and conditions and mandatory information. Every change produces a new PDF, often from the same template.
If you set up the template properly once and check the output via the API, you save yourself rework on every single file.
Typical documents
- Price and tariff sheets
- General terms of supply and contract
- Grid charges and grid information
- Customer information and invoice inserts
- Annual and sustainability reports
- Forms for registration and moving house
How DokAudit helps
- Existing documents and new production: Find and check existing PDFs with a website scan; correct new documents automatically on an ongoing basis in the hub or via the API.
- Evidence for every document: A test report with a traffic-light rating, findings in plain language and references to PDF/UA and WCAG, as a PDF for your records.
- PDF/UA identifier only after a passed check: Remediation continues until the veraPDF check passes. Only then is the PDF/UA identifier set.
- Public prices: 1 credit = 5 pages, no surcharges, no user licence. From €0.50 net per page, free pilot with 20 credits.
- Data protection: Hosting in Germany, deletion after 7 days, data processing agreement online. On request as a container in your own data centre.
Example: 500 pages of tariff sheets, terms and customer information are 100 credits, i.e. €250 net.
What the rules require
For municipal energy suppliers, it depends on the legal form and the individual case: some count as public sector bodies (Directive (EU) 2016/2102), for others the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG, Germany’s implementation of the European Accessibility Act, Directive (EU) 2019/882) may be relevant, for example for consumer contracts concluded via e-commerce. The technical benchmark is EN 301 549 with WCAG and PDF/UA.

Frequently asked questions
- How do we deal with frequently changing price sheets?
- Your system submits each new version via the REST API and a webhook reports the result. The test reports show whether the template itself has weaknesses.
- Are forms for registration and moving house covered?
- Yes. Forms become fillable PDFs with labels and tab order, including from scans.
- Are there discounts for large volumes?
- Yes, on request as an individual quote.
